About QCP
HEARING WHAT PEOPLE REALLY WANT… "HEALING IS WHAT WE WANT FOR
PEOPLE"
We
cannot choose our own family but we certainly can choose the best
person to work for our family. Whatever circumstances we're in, be
it in the good side, or have turned for the worse, we can be sure
that our own family will always be there to support us all the way,
no matter what it takes. Indeed, a good family support system is one
big push for one to pick up the pieces of a broken life and move on
to lead a better life.
Nowadays, a family is not just defined as having a father, a mother,
a brother and a sister in its usual setting. In fact, in this modern
age, a family has evolved to become a cradle, one stronghold, in
which one can find a sense of security and a feeling of
belongingness, yet may not necessarily even be amongst blood
relatives.
A Family Orientation is the strong factor that gives birth to
Quality Care Provider (QCP).
Two great women - AMY QUESADA, QCP Executive Administrator
and SIM PICAR, QCP Administrator/Manager, have known each
other for years. They are two different individuals, yet they
trekked the same track. Amy & Sim's diverse life experiences do not
deter them from starting on a common ground and working on one
common goal. Through a difficult test of time, both had been
hands-on caregivers – who cared for their aging and sick parents. In
the worst of times, these two prime movers have found the best
opportunity to fulfill what may be their true callings.
Amy Quesada (Executive Administrator)
A
Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education graduate and a certified
medical assistant, Amy formed QCP with a strong family influence in
mind. "This is my way of giving back the love and care that my
parents have unselfishly given me and I'd like to share these, in
turn, to those in need. I also intend to make use of QCP to share
the love and care that can be made possible for anybody needing it
most," she said. She grew up being loved unconditionally and
utterly sheltered by her parents. Mostly through their great
examples, her parents never faltered in teaching her the valuable
lessons in life. This allowed her to appreciate the many things in
life – be it in hard work or a major setback. Most importantly, the
kind of love and protection that her parents have shown her made Amy
embraced even more the strong bond between parents and their
children.
Several years after her father passed away, her mother was at the
age when she needed most care. As a breast cancer survivor, there
were many other health issues she had to endure. Here is where she
realized how costly it could be for the family involved but how
priceless she could offer this all in the spirit of sharing and
service – if only through QCP.
Amy is an RCFE (Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly)
Administrator, licensed by the state of California, specializing in
Elderly Care. With over 10 years of experience in Home Health, she
has established a great sense of compassion and understanding that
should go with aging. Being a teacher herself, she further learned
the value of patience and compassion, the very lessons she
ironically has learned instead from her students.
"The many variables in life would only lead us to one thing --
whether you are 18 or 81, everyone needs someone to lean on for
support. I would like to share the love and care my parents
instilled in me and through my service at QCP, I dedicate myself to
providing quality care from our house to yours."
Sim Picar (Administrator/Manager)
Sim
has worked as an AVP Branch Manager for a community bank in Sonoma
County and has been in the finance profession for over 16 years.
"Amy and I have partnered to do this business. I'm the co-creator
and avid supporter of QCP's mission. I have taken care of a sick
loved one and that experience is indeed the best teacher."
Sim is also a licensed RCFE Administrator and at one point in
her life, went through the hard times caring for a father who
eventually died of colon cancer. Like most family caregivers, this
had been hard and a painful task for her, considering the reality
that when you care for somebody who is sick, living a normal life
can be at times close to impossible.
For most of us, caring for our sick love ones will become an
inevitable priority as well as earning an income to sustain such
expensive care. Sim experienced how costly outside-facility care
could be, so she simply took it upon herself to care for her sick
father. "I know the difficulties and sentiments that go with
caring, and at QCP I would like to turn these challenges into a
life-saving grace to others who will be needing care." said Sim.
Stephanie Navalta (Administrator/RN, BSN Santa Clara County)
With her extensive knowledge on the available resources
around the Bay Area counties, Stephanie stepped in recently to
complete the fold as QCP's Administrator/RN, BSN for the Santa Clara
County. Graduated from California State University, Fresno in 1994
with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, she has mustered and excelled
in different nursing specialties; hence, possessing a resume rich in
experience and merit. Currently, she works as a high-risk obstetric
nurse in an outpatient care in Santa Clara. For 14 years, she has
had professional experience in varied specialties: in-patient and
out-patient maternal-child and adult care, case management for a
non-profit in community-based/public health practice and services
for AIDS, and the chronically/terminally-ill population.
Promoting health is a priority not only in her nursing practice, but
also in her personal life. "I know this may sound a bit cliché,
but being healthy in mind, body and spirit is essential for every
day living," she said. Inspiring not only her family members but
also her friends, coworkers and even her children’s schoolmates,
Stephanie along with her husband and two children keep a very active
lifestyle - practicing martial arts, running, as well as
participating in numerous races and marathons for charitable causes.
Spreading the importance of health is a genuine belief that drives
her motivations.
As a whole, contributing with high professionalism and true
compassion to the community and society, Stephanie is a surplus to
QCP. "My professional expertise and passion towards helping
others are invaluable components that can contribute to providing
care and resources for QCP patients on a universal scope."
With intangible characteristics of a natural leader and solid
nursing foundation and expertise, Stephanie is confident of
integrating optimum, comprehensive, and cost-effective care,
services and support for QCP patients.
