Top 10 Excuses Not
to Attend Your
High School Reunion
(and why you should go
anyway...)

1.  I have to work.
(Get time off –
if they won’t allow it
then you might as well quit!
Guess there’s no point
in staying…)

2.  The kids are in school.
(They won't mind if you
go without them.)

3.  I didn't like you then,
why would I like you now?
(We've changed!
Very Happy)
4.  I prefer to remember
the class the way we were.

(We haven't changed a bit)
5.  My tastes have matured.
(Don’t worry we'll make sure
to hire The Booze Stop Bar
 to do the trick!)

6.  I was a loser in
high school.
(Then nobody remembers
- here's your second
chance to make a great
first impression)

7.  I haven't lived up
to my potential.
(Whatever)
8.  I've gained weight.
(You're not the only one -
don't worry there is not
going to be a
swimsuit competition)

9.  I'm on the NBI’s
"Most Wanted" list.
(Don't worry - we have a
strict "Don't Ask, Don't Tell
Policy - what happens at
the reunion stays
at the reunion)

10.  I'm in denial about
being out of high school
20 years.
(If you'd like,
we'll tell everyone you
didn't graduate yet.)

March 31, 2005.

Featured Words of Wisdom
"All with a sense of purpose in life -- that destiny is the mandate of Heaven. Cultivating the heart is the highest duty because it has the greatest moral value." - Mencius.

This quote tells us to always follow our heart in whatever we do in life. Whether deciding on a career move, making a family judgement, or determining how to treat another person, we must train ourselves to listen to our heart, as it will lead us in the right direction.

Here at Novaliches High School Alumni On-line Community, we hope that you will follow your heart and attain great happiness in life! More power!!

This concludes another Update.

I do enjoy hearing from you. Any comments, suggestions and/or ideas are always appreciated. So drop me a line at nhsqcadministrator@verizon.net or nhsqcalumni@verizon.net

NHS GRADUATING CLASS OF 2005
RECOGNITION DAY UPDATE

(As of March 31, 2005)

The Following Information Was Submitted By Mr. Gilore E. Ofrancia (NHS Batch 1995 & NHS Guidance Personnel)

NHS Recognition Day For Class 2005 is tentatively scheduled on the 13th of April 2005. This year we'll be having some 1,695 candidates for graduation. There are 28 sections from both AM/PM sessions. Usually there's no speaker invited for the Recognition Day except for last year's Graduating Class of 2004, no less then her excellency Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo bestowed and inspired our 1,400 graduating students for Class 2004 and almost 218 faculty and staff of NHS.

Currently on the Ad for the recognition there are at least 3 awardees for each section, namely: Section's Best (Top 1), And Best/Most Behaved Students (boy and a girl) there'll be special awards such as leadership and those who have excelled academically and excelled in co-curricular activities. We'll be having 19 honor students from Valedictorian down to the 17 - 14 Honorable Mention (we have two ties in two ranks for this year) thus we don't have any choice but to give them merit for their good deeds.

More updates very soon...

NHS DONATION SPECIAL UPDATE: (Author: Chona Villafuerte-Go)
"Received a lot of e-mails from members of our On-line Community even from those who were not able to graduate from NHS (reason of course was they moved or transferred to another school) pledging their support to help out NHS but many can't send their donations in time for this year's Recognition day. Again, Thank YOU so much!! A lot of them also asked for additional information or what our school needs to improve upon or make donations to and so I have asked our current NHS Administration & also our Guidance Personnel to inform us of their on-going projects or current needs so we can help them out. (Currently, I'm waiting for other e-mail from NHS Administration and i'll be posting them here also.)
