Welcome once again to our Monthly Update as of June 30, 2005

Active participation is an integral part of our thriving On-line Community and is of the utmost importance.  Members can help  and contribute most by bringing new members, meaning new blood, new ideas, new enthusiasm, new thinking and MORE SUCCESS.  There’s no limit to our success – with your support and cooperation!

This time around, I would like to take this opportunity to say a number of thank yous. 
“Getting to Know Our Webby Administrator Better"
To start with, I would like to thank ALL OF YOU who made phone calls, sent in E-mails, and responded to the article “Getting to Know Our Webby Administrator Better written by Myra Contessa Diokno-Sarmenta Batch 1981 with the help of her NHS classmate (also my older sister) Connie Villafuerte-Tungpalan a.k.a. “Connivance'' as her vital resource. Let me say this again, our on-line community would not be where we are on the digital agenda if it were not for your outpouring of support.  I cannot stress that enough. So again thank you all very much from the bottom of my heart. YOU truly are my inspiration!!!

My second thank you is to our dedicated June Moderator Myra “MY” Contessa Diokno-Sarmenta NHS Batch 1981. She is probably well known to many of you by now as a wonderful moderator who managed to stir up the Message Board with her winsome personality gaining quite a lot of friends actually along the way. Noticeably, a lot of you have commended her for her excellent writing skills, but what may not be as well known to you is that other than her day job as Sr. Mktg. Comm. Officer, it is also her dream to one day write a book --  a book on emotions -- some would be her true-to-life emotions and experiences... or maybe, a self-help book with a twist on psychology! Seeing as we all agree that she has such a great talent in writing I wouldn’t be surprised at all if her dream is just a few feet away now from realization. Everyone, please join me in thanking MY for her extraordinary commitment in making sure that there is a great sense of rapport & camaraderie existing between member posters on our Message Board this month of June. Thank you, MY. I cannot tell you how tireless she’s been to keep our Message Board a fun place to visit & to just keep us all enjoying many of the whacky exchanges lately.

This allegorical saying is used to describe a person's conflicting psychological state of feeling both joy and fear at the same time -- much like young children at the tense but exciting moment when they light a firecracker. Though the fear is fleeting, the emotion keeps us rooted and warns us to be cautious in our approach.

Here at NHS Alumni On-line Community we hope you and your family had a safe and wonderful 4th of July holiday while letting off firecrackers of your own.

VIEWING THE ALBUM (Enabled For Everyone)
You can view all of the albums in our Photo Library at MyPhotoAlbum gallery (FYI: NHS Alumni On-line Community is NOT affiliated with MyPhotoAlbum We are just using their free album-sharing resources) or one album at a time using the Slideshow function.   

-To view all of the albums in our Photo Library at once, simply click on the Slideshow link in the upper right corner of our Photo Library. 

-To view one album (per batch album) at a time, click on the cover picture of our batch album to enter it. Then click on the Slideshow link in the upper right corner of our Photo Library.

*Please note that the Slideshow function will auto-fit the width of our pictures, but not the height of our pictures.  You will need to scroll down during a Slideshow to view the entire picture.

ADDING YOUR PHOTOS TO OUR PHOTO LIBRARY (Enabled For Everyone)
Important Reminder: Before you can add photos on our Photo Library you must click on your batch album first (or if you belong to the NHS faculty, then you must click on the NHS Administration album), then create a new album to put your photos in.
-CLICK ON YOUT BATCH ALBUM FIRST TO CREATE A NEW ALBUM
-CREATING ALBUMS: In the center of our Photo Library page you will see a button that says create new album. Click on it.
You will then see instructions on how to add your photos.

ADDING COMMENTS (Enabled For Everyone)
-Simply click on your favorite photos and add your comments.
VOTING ON YOUR FAVORITE PHOTOS: (Enabled For Everyone)
-Simply click on your favorite photos and vote.

We're still looking for more NHS class year photos, and all your current photos (of course) to share with everyone...please keep them coming! :-)

We will try to make our photo library links available on our On-line Community before the end of this month (JUNE).
