and our September Moderator Jose Carlo V. Sia "The
Hackman:)
Yo! Da Man
Meet The Hackman.....
Dialogue! Dialogue!
Kahit di ka na moderator
naman
Walang iwanan
Dito ka makipagkulitan
Yo! Da Man
Iba pa rin ang
may pinagsamahan
Dito tayo ngayon,
magkakaSIAhan
Tuloy-tuloy na to
Walang hintuan
Puro katatawanan
Walang dedmahan
Maraming bukingan
Walang pikunan
Pag may kailangan
Lahat tulungan
Pag walang mapuntahan
Homesick? wala yan
Dito lang sa tambayan
Dito di ka pababayaan
Kahit saan ka man
Di mo pansin yan
Pag naumpisahan
Di mo na maiwasan
Lahat welkam na welkam

Welcome once again to our Monthly
Update as of September 12, 2005
Hope you all had a fun-filled summer. I am
thrilled that we have surpassed the 400 member mark. And please
don't think I don't know how lucky I am to have all you
guys behind me. Thanks again for all of the great things you write &
say about NHS On-line Community, it's nice to know we're keeping you
happy.
Moon Festival is a time for family reunions. Families gather
together, under the light of the full moon, eat moon cakes, and
share stories and poems about the moon. This year, the Moon Festival
falls on September 18th. Visit a park or enjoy the beauty of the
full moon from the quiet of your own backyard. Bring your friends
and family together to celebrate this important holiday and make
sure that you have tasty mooncakes on hand and have fun sharing
stories with your guests.
More great news!!!
August have been quite a month for NHS On-line
Community. Our Message Board continues to create
quite a buzz, special thanks of course to our August Moderator Mr.
John Clive Valena for doing a great job. Many thanks also to the
many active posters, new posters and visitors who are flocking to
our Message Board, discovering why it’s been quite a fun place to
visit lately. If you're one of those newcomers, welcome. If you've
been with us awhile, rest assured that this newfound exposure means
our friendliness, support and outstanding camaraderie online will
only get better.
For some, you may have noticed that there've been
some great changes on our Message Board. It has now a fresher,
cleaner look. We've also tweaked the forum topics to give members a
more immediate overall view.
Again, if you're a newcomer to our online community, welcome, and
make sure to read the "How To" article on getting around our online
community on your welcome letter. And if you're a long-time member,
read on to take advantage of all that's new!
Coming Soon! — we’ll be launching a full-featured site in the very near future.
You won't believe
how much more is on the way. Now I don't want to let the whole cat out
of the bag (maybe just the tail) but you will be very pleased with all
of the great new site features & updates that I am currently working on with some great
help from our very own gifted members on our spare time of course! I
shall announce their names very soon. So
sit back, relax and enjoy our Monthly Update!

ANNOUNCING A
NAME CHANGE TO "NHS ON-LINE COMMUNITY"
Novaliches High School Alumni On-line Community
--- saying the full name of our alma mater followed by alumni on-line
community has always been quite a mouthful, I know. Now take a smaller
breath and say “NHS On-line Community” – that’s our group’s new name.
The renaming of our on-line community to "NHS On-line Community" is
effective as of September 01, 2005. However, a longer version (our alma
mater in full name), Novaliches High School On-line Community, should be
our legal name.
In announcing the change of our name, I feel that NHS On-line Community
clearly conveys more who the members actually are…a whole community not
just for alumni, but also faculty members, students & even family & friends
of Novaliches High School past and present. There’s a strong sense of our
on-line community's mission in the new digital era and to symbolize that
with a new name that more effectively communicates what we truly are
about in the world wide web…I am indeed very gratified by the
widespread support for what certainly better reflects our work and the
range of services & features our on-line community’s new name can very well
provide.

WORDS OF WISDOM FOR THIS MONTHLY UPDATE
An old saying
goes, "Leave scraps of food out so that the mice don't starve, and blow
out the candle so that the poor moths don't burn to death."- Tending the
Roots of Wisdom
This merciful attitude of the ancients is what enables mankind to
propagate and flourish. Without such a kind heart, a man is no more than
a soulless empty shell.
This bit of Chinese wisdom encourages us to treat others thoughtfully
and with kindness. Our hearts go out deeply to everyone who was affected by the
Hurricane Katrina. The outpouring of support from across the
globe is a testament to the kindness that is in the world.
NHS On-line Community hopes that you and your family are safe from harm
and encourage everyone to come together and let your kind hearts shine a
light in the darkness for those who are hurting.
Have a wonderful Moon Festival and we hope you enjoy your time with
family and friends looking up at the bright, full moon.
EVERY PERSON COUNTS
Giving everyone a voice is the mantra we
want everyone to feel at NHS On-line Community Website, and it has
clearly paid off. Let me say this to all of you “Tell us what you
want, then help us make it happen.” It requires an incredible
paradigm shift....a whole new way of thinking and a fresh new start for
all. In fact, each time I am faced by the daunting challenge to better
serve you with my limited personal resources, an available array of voluntary
resources is fortunately being offered soon enough and often untapped,
helping me personalize our online community experience.
THANK YOU ALL!!
This concludes another Update.
And like always, I am truly grateful to all
your comments, ideas or suggestions you e-mailed me
at nhsqcalumni@gmail.com, so keep them coming PLEASE!
Until next time, take care and again thank you all for your continued
support!

NHS On-line Community members are in a unique organization! Our
success may be traced to the fact that we have adhered strictly to the
principles on which we were founded – not social, not political, not
charitable, but the love that we have for our dear Alma Mater, Novaliches
High School!
Let’s really dig in in 2005 and make it a banner
year in LEADS..INVOLVEMENT...MEMBERSHIP!

August 19, 2005
Part 1 of Despedida cum reunion of Batch 1977.
A memorable reunion for Novaliches High School friends
Batch 1977 who got together for a Despedida party for their
batchmate Alvin Tanjutco last August 19, 2005 who will soon venture
into new beginnings in the Land Down Under taking an assignment in
General Mills-Australia (based in Melbourne) this September of 2005.
The group had lots of fun singing at the Music 21 Karaoke Bar in
Timog singing their old favorite songs circa 70's and 80's. The same
group later went to Alvin's home for coffee and more reminiscing
'till past midnight.

Celebrating also their Class Valedictorian - Edwin Quiros'
birthday, the same group joined by 2 people Cora Delicana
and Echie Marcelo-Eamilao (who by a stroke of luck was in SM
Megamall on that same day), got back again after more than 20 years,
this time in Bembem's house where Bem, Ivy and the others prepared
so much food that they all had to take home.

testament to the on-line camaraderie existing

our top 20 active posters in just a few months
has been tougher still. All the more important
fact then, the active posters have torqued up
their multi-tasking & professional skills
in order to
prevail in such a difficult top 20 positions.
You’ll find plenty of evidence they have done
just that in this year’s 2005 Summer Postnophobiosis
Poster Awards, our first so far – and by far
the most challenging for the judge yours truly
Mommy ICY. I am pleased to believe I have come
up with plenty of outstanding winners, whose
achievements will be duly written up in useful
accessible case studies, thanks to the NOVALICHES HIGH SCHOOL - Department of
Advanced Scientific Research headed by Dr.
James, a Postnophobiosis Expert.
The 20 outstanding winners of
The 2005
Summer
Postnophobiosis
Posters Awards were selected by an
international expert jury from the:
|

United States of America |

Philippines |

United Arab Emirates |
The awards were
presented at a Gala
Ceremony held on September 11, 2005 at the
famous Poblique Hilton (Reads: Pablik Hilton
in Tagalog).
About 491 posters were in attendance at
the Poblique Hilton
for the 2005 Summer Postnophobiosis Poster Awards! One
other thing: no event like this can succeed
without support from its audience. This summer,
you have given the awards an even bigger
endorsement by turning up in record numbers to
the awards night. With nearly 491 people
attending, the Poblique Hilton was at capacity.
They are living proof that, through
partnerships between our online community
members, non-governmental organizations,
businesses and public authorities, faculty
members, students, innovative
and novel solutions for delivering sustainable
development and sustainable on-line
camaraderie can be born and be fostered.
Ronaldo Dalistan aka fLik
provided
entertainment at the event opening at 6:30PM
with his hilarious stand-up comedy act. At
7:00PM, Chona Villafuerte-Go aka
Administrator, Mommy IC/ICY - NHS On-line
Community Website Administrator, spoke about
what the on-line community has accomplished in
its 9-month existence followed by a standing
ovation and a whole round of applause, of
course!!!
Jaime Balanay aka Dr. J/Dr.
James spoke about his recently
concluded Postnophobiosis seminar. His speech
was followed by a few others:
Connie Villafuerte-Tungpalan
aka Connie-vance Founder of
Postnophobiosis Poster
Awards who spoke about the importance of
paying tribute to the chosen few, Alexander
Domingo aka Alex Haligi spoke about community
involvement to support our lifelong mission,
Myra Contessa Diokno-Sarmenta
aka Missy My spoke about
future NHS On-line Community Press Releases &
the importance of gaining a larger audience
participation and to Gloria Cecilia Galgana
aka Baby Tsinah
who spoke about on-line community membership &
recruitment goals for this year.

practice, a group of active posters led by
Glockman together with
John Da Man,
DM, Sweet Bebe of ICU,
EVU, ver68, Penelope/Maude, Sia, Cindy, Rita, Joe P,
e-Y-e, ton2, noi68 & annig-anelav... all NHS alumni

group "Yo Da Man" started jamming only this year. The
group is invented and is open to everyone who
would like to join at anytime to experience a
new way of dance moves. They can truly
perform, but their main purpose is to get
members to socialize and share hip-hop
together!.

OXYGEN anyone??
Like they always say every human cell needs
oxygen to live. Deprived entirety of it, brain
cells for example begin to die in just fifteen
seconds. Missy My’s valuable contribution to
our Message Board would be just like the
Oxygen we breath “the numero Uno” of all
things, simply because she’s the single most
important substance why we keep visiting our
message board lately…. Need I say more??! |

sometimes call her because of the radiance
that she exudes in the message board!

6. HOSPITAL-ITY AWARD
goes to Janette "Jeng" Ellson-Espinosa aka
Sweet Bebe Of ICU

HOSPITAL-ITY AWARD - it takes one
hospital confinement to get her more pumped up
in our website action! Dextrose, by-the-hour
medicines, tight-guarding, you name it, she
was able to sneak out of her bedrest
confinement -- and get to the message board!
She's always hospitable as well with all the
visitors to her Prayer Request of Jeng Ellson-Espinosa
turf. And while you’re at it, you should check out her picture while still in the
ICU, she’s still looking good even in the
confinements of a hospital bed, and that's no
joke!! |

7. FLIK-KY AWARD

FLIK-KY
AWARD -- the message board won't be the same
without a flip... er... flik poster! A master
in the tagalog posting which is quite
difficult when you're typing since our fingers
are more trained to type in the English
language, Flik was able to do away with it.
"Giving his all-out support" is an
understatement when it comes to showing his
S-U-P-P-O-R-T to fellow alumni. Never again
should fLIK be left alone in the forums, since
he's prone to TALKING TO HIMSELF! He coined
the disease afflicting us when we're too busy
to post -- but couldn't help but browse and
read -- SARS (Silip Ako Rum-fo Sandali!). Oh
and in case you’ll need some hairclips, you're
very much welcome to borrow some from him! |

EVU-bwit AWARD -- he planned to remain
mysterious and hideous under the three-letter
initials of his callsign, but posters would
always ask him what EVU stands for? He's like
a bubwit (a reporter to the local comic lingo)
because he seems to know everybody in
Novaliches! Could be his computer network
runs deep in the underground cabling of the
Novaliches area??! Drop a name, and before you
know it, EVU knows him -- and sure he knows more
than a story behind that name!
Everything's
Very
Unique about him... a computer wizard,

HALIGI NG TAHANAN AWARD - our message board is
considered our second home! What is a good
home, without a solid foundation! Alex has
proven time and again, that he's the Haligi --
a pillar of strength -- but on a different
time zone, tends to be the Ilaw ng Tahanan!
He seems like a Cool, Groovy Daddy one
minute, and a Screaming, Matronic Mama, the
next? What the heck? He's (or she's again?)
so good at it!

10. POST-ulate
AWARD goes to Jaime Balanay aka Dr. J/Dr.
James (Joined our Message Board on
December 16, 2004) Total 227 Posts
POST-ulate AWARD -- he discovered the disease,
POSTNOPHOBIOSIS, afflicting the active
inhabitants of the message board -- and was
able to prescribe the antidote much to our
delight. As a postulate, most of us believe
in his stand to assume or assert the truth or
reality of an argument. He coined most of the
names being used by fellow addicts themselves
-- very imaginative and creative. He's at his
right elements whenever he sees the avatars of
the lovely angels of the message board -- whom
he always patiently wait to go down from the
heaven above….Enough to get him be more
inspired with his contributions. |

45 days on the active poster rosters. Sia is
the youngest member of the Highly Acclaimed
Postnophobiosis Organization, but already has won a
seat on the Moderating Team. In addition he
have become the youngest and quickest poster

for her to initially post saying it just felt

mysterious job" and
you can say that again and again and again
(sure hope you get the idea!!)....well fellow posters
can only guess - as he could be a dealer of
some serious products secretly produced and
grown somewhere in an isolated place in the

wondering, as his job description
posts goes nowhere
close to the truth! |
